CAFFEINE: Numerous of studies have confirmed the hair-growth effects of topical caffeine. According to research, topical caffeine penetrates the hair follicles quickly, and within the first 20 min after application. Once in the hair follicle, the topical application of caffeine can improve ATP production, inhibit phosphodiesterase, lower tissue bound estrogen (which inhibits hair growth), and stimulate and promote hair growth. It has even been proven to effectively treat androgenic alopecia, better than minoxidil and without the negative side effects. Caffeine also helps to improve the delivery of the other ingredients in Mane Stay. 1,2

NIACINAMIDE: This derivative of niacin is a potent hair growth stimulator. In study, topical niacinamide demonstrates a statistically significant increase in hair fullness by promoting hair follicle metabolism. 3

SAYLICYLIC ACID: Topical aspirin is the Swiss-army knife of hair growth supplements. It targets and corrects hair loss on many levels, blocking the production of hair growth inhibiting inflammatory cytokines (TGF-beta 1), prostaglandins, DHT & estrogens. Studies have found topical aspirin can signficantly improve hair growth in men and women with androgenic alopecia. 4

SUCCINIC ACID: Human clinical trials find that increasing ATP levels in the scalp promotes hair growth in androgenic alopecia. Hair follicles are among the cellular systems most sensitive to ATP depletion. Studies reveal that increasing scalp levels of succinic acid, dramatically increases ATP levels in the scalp, and supplies more energy to hair follicles for remarkable increases in hair growth. In fact, succinic acid is so effective at stimulating hair growth, that the precursor substance (pentadecanoic acid) is used clinically in Japan to treat hair loss. According to research, the topical use of pentadecanoic acid increased scalp succinic acid levels and thus ATP levels in the hair follicle. This resulted in a significant reduction of shedding hair, a greater appearance of vellus hair and change of vellus hair (peach fuzz) to terminal hair (mature hair). They also found that hair density and thickness increased by 4.1%. 5, 6

Recommended Use:

Apply 1-2 droppers to clean scalp and gently massage in. Avoid getting into hair as much as possible and try to cover as much of the entire scalp as possible. Use once daily – do not exceed dosage since too much topical caffeine was found to have diminishing effects. The optimal dose for hair growth is a 1% solution, which is what you get in Mane Stay with 2 full droppers.
